Join me in congratulating Mathew Hamilton for his success in the Academic Challenge (AC). Over the past 6 months, students were tested in Geography, Math, Reading, Speech, and a team event , the Super Quiz (on Conservation). Students won medals by scoring better than 80% on any test.
Matthew won a medal in EVERY category and had 2 PERFECT scores (in Geography and the Super Quiz). Also, his Super Quiz team, the "Brainiacs" achieved top honors as the highest scoring team in the 4th grade (all members earning perfect scores).
We are extremely proud of Matthew, especially since this AC endeavor was extra work(no credit or grade) in addition to an already challenging Magnet curriculum.
I have also included a photo of Robert Togia who was mentioned in the initial White Sox Scholars Update for earning a perfect 4.0 GPA.
