White Sox Game 12 Mini Recap and Week Schedule

The White Sox endured injuries and gusty winds in their 8-7 victory over the CALL Cardinal on Saturday.  The win moves their record to 7-5, one and a half games behind the first place Yankees.  

Shane Early worked 4 strong innings on the mound and earned the win allowing 3 earned runs on 10 hits and 2 walks.  He threw 55 of  83 pitches for strikes and struck out 4.  The win moves his record to 4-1 on the season with a 3.55 ERA-6.   Lawrence Gilliam came on in relief in the top of fifth inning for his debut on the mound this season and earned the save with 2 innings of work.  He allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits and 2 walks.  He hurled 23 of 39 pitches for strikes and struck out 3 including the last 2 batters of the 6th inning.

Offensively, the White Sox were led by speedy lead-off hitter, Cashion London .  Cash was 3-4 on the day and scored 2 runs.  He has a team leading batting average of .516 and an on base percentage of .622.  Shane was 2-3 with an RBI.  Malik Cole , Alonzo Billups ,  and Jabril Geter contributed a hit and an RBI a piece.  Navari Julius had a hit and 2 RBIs.  Nathan Moore stroked the only multi-base hit of the day with a triple to deep right; collecting an RBI on the way.  Grant Craddolph contributed a hit and a run and Robert Togia  batted in a run.  Dathan Bailey walked and scored a run.

Navari and Robert held down the catching duties.  Jabril, Navari, Cash, Grant, and Robert had putouts.  Lawrence, Cash, Navari and Grant had assists.
