Starting pitcher, Robert Togia, was nearly flawless on the mound through 3 innings yielding 0 runs on 2 hits and striking out 3. Jibri Walden relieved him on the mound in the 4th inning to close the show. The White Sox played stellar defense behind them; led by Grant Craddolph with 3 huge assists for shortstop, Kelvin Murrilo on second base with an assist and put out, and Lawrence Gilliam at first base with 6 put outs.
The big story of the day was the explosive offensive display put on by Grant Craddolph and Jibri Walden. Both players sent 2 home runs out of the park. Grant hit home runs on his first two at bats. Jibri hit bombs on his last two, with the final home run going as a walk-off (his second walk off home run of the post season). The home runs place them in a tie for the lead for the home run title with fellow White Sox, Lawrence Gilliam.
Robert Togia had a key 2 run RBI and scored a run. Lawrence and Kelvin scored two runs a piece, and Devin Martin and Nathan Moore scored runs. Mathew Hamilton also contributed a single.
The Sox will play the winner of the Culver Marina Giants and the City of Angels Bulldogs on Friday evening at 6PM at Culver Marina.
